Walt Mossberg at The Wall Street Journal reviews the Lenovo ThinkPad X300. You get a feeling of a certain Apple preference; one would think there are more relevant comparisons to do though, like to the Sony Vaio TZ series. Pictures, specs and even previews of the Lenovo X300 ultraportable laptop have been floating around for the last few days. It has a 1.2GHz Core 2 Duo chip, 1440 × 900 LED screen, 64 GB SSD and a DVD-RW, all in a very small 1.4 kg package. It’s not as stylish as the MacBook Air, but it’s much more useful with more ports, changable batteries, and an optical drive. The official launch is planned for February 26th.
